Partnership leads to new minibus for school in Kings Bromley

A school near Lichfield has taken delivery of a new minibus.

The Richard Crosse CE Primary School in Kings Bromley bought the vehicle with St Mary’s CE Primary School in Colton are looking forward to seeing  a lot  more of each other after the schools bought a brand new minibus.

The new term has seen the start of a formal link between the two schools under the executive headship of Paul Lovern.

A spokesperson for the school said:

“It is exceptional for two small primary schools to be able to enjoy such a wonderful resource and is a testament to the hard work of the parents staff, trustees and governors of both schools.

“The minibus is a real tangible outcome of  the positive and beneficial partnership that had developed between both  school communities.”

Over the last two years the schools have been working together informally and have borrowed transport to make visits to each other.

The spokesperson added:

“The learning gains have been enormous. Youngsters have enjoyed innovative and creative curriculum days at each other’s schools and many exciting class projects have developed.

“The children have acted as hosts to their visitors developing their social and communication skills and have been proud to show their guests their school and village environments.

“Having their own minibus will allow  the schools to offer  many more rich curriculum opportunities. The minibus will also increase the children’s access to local community activities and events.”
