Campaigners fighting plans for a high-speed rail line through Lichfield are giving shoppers in the city more information on the route.

Lichfield Action Group has been set up to tackle the proposal for the route that would cut through parts of the city and surrounding area.

The organisation will be distributing leaflets from a stall in Lichfield’s Market Square tomorrow (September 18) and Sunday.

As well as highlighting their campaign, the group are also hoping to raise awareness of a public meeting on the issue taking place at Boley Park Community Hall on October 1 at 8pm.
