Burntwood’s annual gardening competition is blooming after the amount of entries doubled.
The 2010 competition saw green-fingered residents battling out in eight categories – all aiming to be crowned the overall winner at the recent presentation event.
In the end the top prize went to Mrs P Rigby as she scooped the Burntwood in Bloom overall winner award and recieved her prize from Councillor Doug Constable, Chairman of Burntwood Town Council.
Cllr Constable said:
“I was pleased to see so many people enjoying their gardens and making such a positive difference to the town.”

- Best container or trough: 1st: Mr & Mrs B Littler. 2nd: Mr & Mrs J Allport. 3rd Mr A Styles.
