Lichfield may be hours from the sea, but that hasn’t stop one group of singers bringing sea shanties to the city.
The Lichfield Lighthouse Company is looking for new members to join them on their musical voyage.
A spokesperson for the group said:
“For a a couple of hours each fortnight we plan to breathe life back into our lost seafaring traditions, but we can only succeed in this mission if we can recruit enough shantymen and women to have a go at singing with us.
“So if you would like to join us on this musical voyage come and join us.”
The group will be meeting on October 4 at 8pm in the upstairs room of the Kings Head on Bore Street, Lichfield.
