Shenstone Pathfinder FC boss disappointed with 5-0 ‘beating’

Shenstone Pathfinder FC manager Chris Whitehouse admitted his side received a “beating” as they were dismantled by high-flying Penncroft.

A 5-0 scoreline wasn’t what the Pathfinder boss was looking for as he took his charges to one of the league’s unbeaten sides.

And Whitehouse confirmed that the scoreline was a fair reflection of the game. He said:

“It was a disappointing performance. As good a side as Penncroft are and as well as they played, we made it too easy for them at times and we got what we deserved.

“It’s the first time we have taken a beating like this for a long time since we have established ourselves in this division. We must pick ourselves up next week and get back on the winning trail.”

Shenstone will be back in action next Saturday (October 2) when they entertain Trysull, kick-off 3pm.
