Burntwood Leisure Leagues football round-up

It seems 2-1 was a popular score in the Burntwood Sunday six-a-side league as no fewer than four of the games ended with that margin.

Perhaps the most important was TDB’s loss to mid-table Durban Poison, which leaves them struggling at the bottom.

Brian Blessed Hawkmen can say the same, but at least they took a point from a 1-1 draw with FC Laser.

The Untouchables are rock bottom of division one after losing 6-0 against Scholars, but White Horse – who are one place above them in the table – lost by the same margin to One Hit Wanderers.

The games were much tighter elsewhere, but Warriors beat Burntwood 6 by the only goal of the game in a mid-table clash.

Real Playaz are top of the table in the Monday  league on goal difference, which is unsurprising given that they beat Chase Rattlers 12-0 this week.

Definitelymaybe are the only other team with a 100 per cent record and they saw off The Barns 6-0.

Rick It for the Biscuit picked up a first win of the season, as the only goal of the game was enough for them to squeak home Deportivo La Catalent.

Mean Machine drew 0-0 with Real Brownhills, and both teams stay unbeaten.

Shelfield Wednesday smashed GGU16s 6-2 and moved themselves top of the table in division two in the process, while Team Tek beat FC Sporting by the odd goal in three in an important clash elsewhere.

Finally Underdogs and Team Salad were amongst the goals in division three. The former beating Burntwood Monsters 4-2 and Salad dismissing The Green 4-0.
