Burntwood RUFC U15 12 Wolverhampton RUFC U15 52

Burntwood U15s had limited resources at home to Wolverhampton.

Down to 16 available players, two of those carrying injuries, they were little match for a well-prepared visiting side in the first half.

Wolverhampton were a try up inside three minutes and scored at regular intervals to lead 37-0 at the break.

Burntwood were more determined and focused after the break but it was not until the last 10 minutes that they made an impression on the scoreboard and this with just 12 players on the pitch.

Cal Grundy received possession on his 22 line and set off on a run to the posts, beating several tacklers en route. Charlie Liggins comnverted.

Inspired by this, Burntwood kept the pressure on, passing fluidly and accurately for Josh Birch to take the ball over in the corner in the dying minutes to complete a 52-12 scoreline.
