Mabel Wright at Rainbows Nursery
A nursery near Lichfield has been given the highest possible rating by government inspectors. Rainbows Nursery in Barnes Road, Shenstone, is celebrating after hearing that they have been awarded an Outstanding rating by Ofsted. In a clean sweep, the report scores the nursery top on every single area of inspection and comments favourably on all aspects of the running of the nursery. The report states:
“Staff consistently meet children’s needs exceptionally well. Excellent relationships are established with parents and carers and other early years settings to ensure continuity of care and learning so that children’s social, emotional and educational needs are successfully met. “Children make rapid progress in all areas of learning”
Nursery owner and manager Kirsty Winwood, who took over the reins earlier this year after joining the nursery as a member of staff two years ago, said:
“I am absolutely delighted. We were caught off guard by Ofsted, who paid us an unannounced visit towards the end of term last year, but I have total confidence in my staff and we work very closely with parents so I knew we had nothing to fear. Even so,  to get an Outstanding is wonderful. “Our ethos at the nursery is to work closely with parents to ensure that each and every child feels safe, stimulated and happy.”
Rainbows Nursery is situated in the grounds of Greysbrooke School in Shenstone and is open every school day from 9am to 3pm for pre-school children. Details of the report can be found on the Ofsted website
