Burntwood RUFC U15 43 Newcastle (Staffs) RUFC U15 10

Burntwood RUFC U15s were in fine form at home to Newcastle (Staffs), winning their league game 43-10 thanks a controlled and fluid performance.

They were ahead in the first minute and never looked back. Ben Tranter gathered the ball after good play along the back line to score. He also scored the second, following up a loose, bouncing ball in the visitors’ half and then using his pace to the line.

Josh Birch added the third, receiving possession from Callum Grundy who had broken from inside his own half. Charlie Higgins converted.

Burntwood went on to dominate the second half with further tries from Matt Anderson, Brad and Ben Tranter and Jamie Sedgwick. Conversions by Rhys Thomas and Higgins completed the tally.
