Lichfield and Burntwood residents with a passion for art and music are being urged to help a hospital expand its programme for patients.

Good Hope Hospital’s arts team relies on volunteers to deliver a variety of projects to patients on the wards.

The arts and craft projects include knitting and drawing – activities which aid in helping people recover and express themselves whilst in hospital.

Sarah McGrory, arts co-ordinator, said:

“Patients really love the arts and crafts projects we offer them, particularly when they’re recovering on the ward with little to do.  It gives them an outlet for their energy and really allows them to express themselves.

“We’re looking for anyone who might be able to help us facilitate this, either by helping with the exhibitions, art cart or hosting workshops for patients and providing music.”
