The Lichfield Players are putting the final preparations to their next production.

Strictly Murder opens at the Lichfield Garrick on November 3.

It is April 1939 and Peter and Suzy, an English couple, are poor but happy in their little cottage in Provence. But the arrival of some unexpected visitors changes all that, and it seems that nobody is who they appear to be in this electrifying thriller set in rural France just before the outbreak of the Second World War.

A spokesperson for the show said:

“For anybody who loves to be kept guessing in a play packed full of surprises,  this rollercoaster ride of murder and deception is really going to be a night to remember!”

Not to be outdone by the play itself, the Players keep up their theme of people not being who you think, as the director of their successful recent production of Rebecca takes on an acting role in this production, and two of the actors from that production step into the role of director and co-director!

Director Andrew Bodger said:

“This is just a brilliant piece of entertainment. I’ve been wanting to put this on for our audiences ever since I first read it some years ago, it’s just the sort of theatre that audiences love, it’s everything that a great thriller should be – it’s exciting, funny, chilling and fascinating with some plot twists which can make you gasp out loud!”

The Lichfield Players’ production of Strictly Murder runs at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre over two weeks, from November 3 to 6  and November 10 to 13. Tickets are priced £10 (concessions £9 and £6) and are available by calling 01543 412121 or visiting www.lichfieldgarrick.com.
