A community arts project is set to unveil its latest work at Burntwood Leisure Centre.

The new piece by Morph4us takes on a 2012 Olympics theme and will adorn the wall next to the stairs in the centre.

The work has been designed by young people with the help of members of the community, who were consulted on suggested sports quotes to be included in the piece.

County Councillor Ben Adams, Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture said:

“This latest phase of the Morph4us project has focussed more on involving adult members of the local community, to create a truly intergenerational project.

“Displaying the artwork in the leisure centre – a focal point of the community – means local people will see first hand how the project has contributed to life in Burntwood.”

The artwork will be unveiled on October 31 at 11am.

I would like to point out that the launch of the Morph4us artwork will NOT be taking place on the date stated in the above article. A more prefrerable date is currently been arranged and this will be reported on the blog as soon as possible. Apologies to original poster.
