Chasetown school to host new small-sided football league

A new small-sided football league is set to start in Burntwood.

The new Leisure Leagues competition will run on Thursdays at Chasetown Specialist Sports College.

The competition will run alongside existing divisions on Sundays and Mondays at Burntwood Leisure Centre.

League manager Lee Wilcox said:

“The fact we are in a position to start the new league really is down to the hard work of the referees and staff there, not to mention the commitment of all the players. We are continually taken aback by the appetite for football that the people of Burntwood show and we are delighted that we are able to help them by staging this league.

“We would very much like to thank everyone at the College for all their help in allowing us to set up this extra league, the facilities there are really first class and we are delighted that we can make use of them.”

Each game will have a qualified referee and all equipment is provided.
