Carers are being urged to take advantage of a free heart health awareness session in Burntwood.

The event is being organised by the Carers Association Southern Staffordshire (CASS) at Burntwood Library on November 3, from 1pm to 3.30pm.

Carers will be able to find out how making even small changes to diet and lifestyle can support their own and their family’s heart health. There also will be blood pressure checks and medicines information at some sessions and free health goody bags.

Cynthia Boden , learning and leisure co-ordinator for CASS explained:

“Heart disease can affect anyone – at different times of life, women are as much at risk as men. We hope informal carers will take advantage of this opportunity to come along and learn more about heart heath presented in a fun and friendly way.”
