Burntwood RUFC U15s suffered their first loss in three league games as they went down 33-5 away to Willenhall.

Both sides piled into each other in a full on, physical start to the game.

Willenhall drew first blood, taking advantage of confusion in the Burntwood ranks with a tap and go at a five-metre penalty for five easy points.

Smart play and good handling saw the hosts build on their early lead to be ahead 17-0 at the break.

The second period was more even but errors by the visitors allowed Willenhall to stretch out to 28-0 before Callum Grundy pulled five points back for Burntwood in the dying minutes. Even then, there was time for Willenhall to restart and reply immediately with a try of their own.
