Drayton Manor Theme Park's Magical Christmas event at Thomas Land

A popular attraction near Lichfield is set to transform itself for Christmas.

Thomas Land at Drayton Manor Theme Park will be given a winter wonderland makeover to celebrate the festive season.

The Magical Christmas event will feature musical performances by the Fat Controller and his friends, colourful decorations and thousands of lights and snow machines to release a flurry of snow at least three times a day.

In addition to the rides in Thomas Land, Drayton Manor’s 4D Cinema will be showing a brand new festive movie called Sleigh Ride.

A spokesperson for the park said:

“The film tells the hilarious story of reindeer, Blitzen, and hapless elf, Bobo, as they race around the world to deliver presents to children, after Santa is accidentally knocked unconscious on Christmas Eve.

“Visitors will be able to watch the movie in 3D while seated in specially designed chairs, which give the 4D experience by reacting to scenes in the film by moving up and down, releasing sprays of water, bursts of air, bubbles and various smells.”

Magical Christmas at Drayton Manor Park runs from November 27 to January 2, with the exception of December 24, 25 and 26. Tickets are £15.50 for ages four and over, £10.50 for two to three-year-olds, with under twos going free.

Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling 0844 472 1960. Reduced prices are available for tickets bought in advance.
