Lichfield computer game fans joined people up and down the country to queue up at midnight to get their hands on the new Call of Duty title.
Hundreds lined up at the city’s 24-hour Tesco last night (November 8) to get their hands on Black Ops, the latest release in the hit gaming series.
Meanwhile a line of eager shoppers snaked up the Three Spires Shopping Centre as the Game store opened especially for the release.
One shopper told The Lichfield Blog:
“I’ve decided to stay up and get the game for my sons because they’ll kill me if I don’t get it and it sells out tomorrow.”
The game is expected to sell more than one million copies in the first week.
