Michael Fabricant MP gets into character for HMS Pinafore

Lichfield’s MP will be heading for the poop deck to narrate an unconventional version of Gilbert & Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore.

Michael Fabricant has been confirmed as part of the performance at Lichfield Cathedral on March 5, 2011.

The Conservative MP explained:

“This version of HMS Pinafore will feature the regular songs, but the narration is likely to go wildly off piste as it did when I narrated the Mikado a while back.

The evening is great fun, fabulous entertainment, and everyone is invited – either to sing along or merely to watch and enjoy.”

Tickets will be available from January at the Cathedral Bookshop, 9 The Close, Lichfield WS13 7LD or by calling 01543 306150.

  1. as regards to this mp. he should be utterly ashamed of himself telling other mp,s how they could claim expenses while the tube strike was on. if our pm wants to get a grip of mp,s expenses maybe it might be a good idea to get rid of this parasite.i feel sorry for the people of litchfield having this moron as their mp. in fact all the photo,s i have seen of this prat the more he reminds me of boris johnson……after a baaseball bat has made contact with his face.i don,t think he would look out of place with margret becket on his arm.wise up fabricant and try and get into the real world, can,t understand why cameron has this prat onboard

  2. Parry: Read some proper papers and not the Daily Mirror! As The Government Pairing Whip, I simply passed on an official message from the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority. Labour Whips and Lib-Dem whips did precisely the same too.
(Except the Mirror didn’t report that. Errr. I wonder why?)

The people of Lichfield have got what they voted for, I suppose you could argue that doesn’t say a lot for the people of Lichfield.
