People across Lichfield are being urged to take part in a conservation event in the city.

Lichfield District Council and Burton Conservation Volunteers will be hosting the hedge laying and nature event at Christian Fields on November 14 from 10.30am to 4pm.

Councillor Neil Roberts, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Development Services, said:

“This is a good opportunity for people to take part in conservation work, and to learn a traditional skill. Tools will be provided, but don’t forget to bring a pair of gardening gloves and wear suitable outdoor clothes on the day.”

Volunteers can meet at Christian Fields’ top car park off Eastern Avenue at 10.30am. For more information contact Denice Deverall on 01543 308183 or email denice.deverall@lichfielddc.gov.uk.
