Burntwood RUFC U15 10 Uttoxeter RUFC U15 24

Burntwood RUFC U15s came unstuck at home to Uttoxeter.

They were a try down as early as the first minute and were 19 points down at the break. They came into it more in the second half but eventually lost 24-10.

The first half deficit didn’t reflect the effort the home lads put in. Their cause was not helped by an injury to Fred Jones which saw him leave the pitch under medical supervision.

In the second period they showed more drive and focus, personified by Harry Davison who collected from a scrum and used his strength to drive over to get his side off the mark.

Then Jamie Sedgwick did the groundwork to power through the Uttoxeter pack to feed Ben Tranter who sped in for a try.

Uttoxeter sealed their win with a final try in the last minute.
