Vivienne Bailey has opened Arc Studios on Market Street and invited Lichfield City Council’s deputy mayor Brian Bacon to cut the ribbon.

Councillor Bacon said:

“It is fantastic to see a local woman who has grown up in Lichfield do really well in her chosen career and set up her own photographic studios. I know she will do really well and I wish Vivienne and Arc Studios all the best for the future.”

Vivienne, who has a BA (Hons) degree in photography, will be assisted by photographer Alex Smith.

She added:

“Photography has always been my passion and I have always wanted to open my own studios. It is just fantastic to see that dream now realised. It was a really great event and I would like to thank all the people who supported me on the night.”

The 35-year-old has been working in the media as a photographer for more than 10 years working on newspaper titles throughout the West Midlands including the Birmingham Post and Express and Star. During this time she picked up numerous awards including the Banks’s Midlands Press Photographer Of The year and the prestigious Bolt Award.
She has also worked as a PR photographer providing pictures for some of the major businesses and organisations across the West Midlands to put in brochures, prospectuses and on websites.

But she hopes her new venture will allow her to help people capture their special moments on camera. She added:

“I want to capture real personality when I take photographs so I want them to be at ease in front of the camera and just act naturally. This is when their true personality shines through and I think it makes for more memorable, treasured photographs.

“I am a real people person and I am looking forward to meeting my clients and helping to make their special moments ones to treasure forever.”

Bookings can be made by appointment by ringing Vivienne on 07877 433891. Alternatively log onto the Arc Studios website at www.arcstudios.biz.

At last, a decent photographer in the centre of town that can put the overly-processed portraits of Venture to shame. Best of luck to Vivienne
