Lichfield parents urged to help shape the future of children’s services

Parents across north Lichfield are being called on to help shape the future of children’s services.

North Lichfield Community and Learning Partnership (C&LP) are working with North Lichfield Council for Voluntary Services to recruit and train volunteer parents to find out how services can be improved in the future.

The volunteers will receive training to help them talk to other local parents at children’s services and report back about what services are valued by the community, and how they could be improved.

Philip Mantom from Lichfield CVS said.

“This really is giving parents the power to help us shape and form services for our local families, the last few places are now going quickly, lots of local mums and dads are really keen to have a voice and shape the future.”

Views will be sought until March 2011. Anyone interested in being a volunteer or putting their views forward should ring Philip Mantom at Lichfield CVS on 01543 303030 or email
