Despite seeing all of their club fixtures frozen off, Lichfield RUFC managed to enjoy a productive week thanks to tips from the top of the sport.
Harlequins assistant coach Mark Mapletoft was brought in by Myrtle Greens coach Nick Sporcic to put the squad through its paces.
And the former London Irish, Gloucester and England player gave Lichfield a floodlit session to remember.
A spokesperson for the club said:
“It was an excellent opportunity be to coached by a Premiership coach and the session provided a great focus for the first XV in their first season having been promoted.
“We are hopeful of being able to have Mark back in the New Year for another session but we would certainly like to thank him for his time.”
Lichfield will be hoping to beat the weather next Saturday (December 4) for the visit of Worcester Wanderers, kick off 2.15pm.
