The event is taking place on December 11 and 12 and will see lots of activities taking place across Lichfield, including Christmas Celebrations on Darwin’s Birthday at the Erasmus Darwin House, a Georgian Family Christmas at the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum, a special Explore Lichfield at Christmas guided walk and Carols in Beacon Park.

There will also be hot chocolate and mulled wine served on the Market Square, a Santa’s grotto and free entertainment, including the Salvation Army Band, Netherstowe Band, a Twelve Days of Christmas competition, a Rudolf trail for children and a Christmas Fayre.

Councillor Louise Flowith, Cabinet Member for Tourism, said:

“Excitement is mounting as we count down the days to Christmas, and this festival weekend is a fantastic way to get into the festive spirit and enjoy Christmas-themed activities with your family. We know there will be a very merry atmosphere and lots to do, so make sure you put a date in your diary for Lichfield Christmas Festival weekend.”
