Santas big and small are signing up for a fun run event in Lichfield. Organisers of the city’s first ever Santa Fun Run are expecting hundreds of people to turn out for the December 19 event at Stowe Field. Mums, dads and children have already signed up for the run and Paul Griffin, from KP Events, is confident that a wide range of entrants will don their Father Christmas suits for the event. Paul Griffin from organisers KP Events said:
“Lichfield has not had a Santa Run before so unlike some major cities where its a big deal in the festive build up, Lichfield is starting from scratch so we’d be happy to have a couple of hundred santas this year. “Lichfield Round Table have confirmed they will also be present with their new float for 2010 and there’ll be lots of Santa’s little helpers present too to entertain the participants and the spectators.”
Entry to the the Lichfield Health and Fitness Club-sponsored event is £10.50 for adults, £7.50 for children with families ofthree3 paying £22.50 and families of four £25. Santa Uniforms are provided as part of the entrance fee. All finishers receive a special Father Christmas medal and a unique individual Christmas pudding.
