Police appeal after burglary near Lichfield

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a burglary near Lichfield.

Five men forced their way into a flat in Marina View in Fazeley at around 2am on Sunday (December 19).

They stole the keys to a silver Audi A4, registration YP56 RCX, and took the car from the residents’ car park outside, along with some electrical goods and cash from the flat.

The men wore dark clothing and face coverings and one of them wore a white hooded top.

A 24-year-old man was in the flat at the time but was not injured.

DC Jo Kirkland, from Trent Valley CID, said:

“Marina View is opposite Drayton Manor Park, just off the main A4091 Coleshill Road. It may be that people using that road – possibly returning from Christmas parties – saw the offenders or something suspicious.

“We’d urge anyone with information to ring us on 01785 234971 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
