CCTV of the man police want to speak to
Police are hoping CCTV images will help them track down a fuel thief who struck at a petrol station near Lichfield. The suspect and his Vauxhall Insignia car were caught on camera after he stopped at JT Leavesley’s garage just off the A38 at Alrewas. However, his plan to fill the tank was cut short and he drove off after staff realised what he was up to and he only got away with £20 of fuel. The suspect is described as a slim Asian man in his early to mid twenties, around 5ft 5 inches tall, with short black hair. He was wearing a silk material bomber jacket with red sleeves and a logo on the chest. Anyone with information is urged to call police on 0300 123 44 55, quoting crime reference XA-83878-10 or, call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
