The incident happened on November 18 at Birmingham New Street Station and British Transport Police officers are hoping CCTV image will provide them with the man’s identity.

PC Susan Hawkeswood said:

“At about 11.40pm, officers were alerted to an incident involving a man shouting abuse at a woman on the concourse at Birmingham New Street railway station.

“The female victim was left extremely shocked and upset by the abuse from the man who she did not know and had never seen before. The man fled the station before officers arrived.

“I would appeal to anyone who knows the identity of the man in the photograph to contact British Transport Police straight away.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 0800 40 50 40, quoting incident number 645 of 18/11/2010, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
