Lichfield Festival announces new Fringe

Celebrating it’s 30th anniversary, Lichfield Festival has announced that it will hold a Festival Fringe of free performances.

The Fringe will take place at different venues around Lichfield City between 6 July and 17 July and aims to give amateur performers from Lichfield and Staffordshire the chance to be part of Lichfield Festival as well as bringing the Festival to Lichfield in a new and exciting way.

Festival Director, Fiona Stuart said,

The Lichfield Festival has a 30-year history of engaging with the local community through fringe events. In 2011, to celebrate our 30th birthday, we want to build on this legacy by creating a broader fringe programme designed to celebrate and showcase the work of local performers.

Local performers are encouraged to step forward including;

  • Visual Artists
  • Musicians and Spoken Word Artists
  • Comedians
  • Writers
  • Drama and Cabaret Artists

Those wishing to apply can do so via the Lichfield Festival web site where guidance notes and some frequently asked questions are available. The deadline for applications if Friday, February 4.
