Lichfield-based running organisers are inviting local runners to shed the seasonal weight gain by entering 3 of their events.

KP Events, organisers of the popular Lichfield Cathedral Dash, are encouraging those with new year’s resolutions to don the trainers and head for the great outdoors to consider 3 events they have planned in and around Lichfield.

On Sunday February 27th at Catton Hall Estate near Alrewas runners can face the challenge of manmade and natural obstacles, water features, bogs, hills, submerged ditches and dense undergrowth, all to test a their true stamina and powers of endurance.

The regions longest established and most popular 10k in the Spring then takes place in Fradley on March 13 and as a largely flat race it caters for those looking to do their first 10k, or experienced runners aiming to beat their personal bests. A junior 2k run will also take place.

May 1st sees the first Lichfield half marathon, starting at King Edward VI leisure centre and taking a largely rural route through Whittington and Fradley before returning to the city at Netherstowe and finishing on Stowe Field.

Information on all the events can be found on the KP Events web site or by calling 07947 698147.
