Artists from Lichfield are being invited to submit their work for a chance to display it in an exhibition at the city’s French twin.
Sainte Foy-lès-Lyon are organising a European Exhibition of the Arts as part of their 7th biennial week long European festival. The exhibition will be displayed at six different venues throughout the town which lies just 3 miles from the centre of Lyon.
Artists from Lichfield’s German twin town, Limburg and Sainte Foy’s Serbian partner town, Kraljevo, will join the chosen artist from Mon 9 to Wed 18 May 2011. Four items must be provided, for sale, that are of the same style and medium that fit the theme of ‘Europe’.
The chosen artist will live with a host family for the duration and travel costs will be paid for by the Saint Foy twinning committee.
Applications should be made by 25 February to be forwarded to Sainte Foy for a selection, if required, to be made.
Further details, including the terms and conditions, and application forms, are available from Julie Dewhurst, Twinning Officer, Lichfield City Council by calling 01543 309851 or by emailing [email protected].
