Columbo production to appear at Lichfield Garrick

Brian Capron and John Guerrasio as Dr Fleming and Lieutenant Columbo

A acclaimed production of Prescription: Murder featuring the legendary Inspector Columbo in his first ever case is to hit the Lichfield Garrick.

In this stage adaptation of the world famous detective series, Columbo is called in to investigate the murder of psychiatrist’s wife. She is found dead after her husband is called to a female patient in the middle of their anniversary. When he returns to her she is angry and so he attempts to calm her by promising a holiday.

Columbo is played by John Guerrasio. Joining him are Brian Capron, known by millions as murderer Richard Hillman in Coronation Street, playing Dr Fleming, Richard Walsh (who played Albert “Sicknote” Quigley in London’s Burning) and Alexandra Boyd (Clarissa Mason from Coronation Street).

Columbo will run at the Lichfield Garrick from Tuesday 22 to Saturday 26 February at 7.30pm, with a Thursday and Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost from £15 to £23 and can be booked from the Garrick web site or by calling the Box Office on 01543 412121.
