Trade fair to celebrate young enterprise in Lichfield

Students from seven schools from across Lichfield and Tamworth will set up stall at a trade fair hoping to impress a judging panel of local business experts.

Tamworth and Lichfield Young Enterprise are hosting the annual trade fair at Lichfield Garrick where each team of students will have a stand demonstrating their business. The teams run their own business for 10 months up to June and the trade fair demonstrates the products and services they’ve created.

The results of the judging panel will be kept a secret until the finals evening at Drayton Manor in April but there will be a mystery shopper who will be giving out a customer service award on the day.

“This year’s event is expected to reach new highs”, said Lesley Bovington, Chair of Tamworth and Lichfield Young Enterprise.

“All the teams have developed outstanding products and a great mix of services. And competition is keen!”

Think Local are sponsoring the event again this year while they aim to encourage trade between Staffordshire businesses.

The Trade Fair will take place at Lichfield Garrick on Saturday 12 February from 10.00am to 4.00pm
