Chance for Lichfield and Burntwood residents to offer Royal wedding congratulations

People living in Lichfield and Burntwood are being invited to send good luck messages to Prince William and Kate Middleton ahead of their wedding day.

Staffordshire County Council are putting together a congratulatory book which will be presented to Buckingham Palace by council chariman Erica Bayliss ahead of the big day on April 29.

Cllr Bayliss said:

“I was delighted to hear the announcement of the royal wedding. Many people in Staffordshire will have thought about sending a message of congratulation to the couple. As chairman of the county council and first citizen of Staffordshire I’m inviting people to send their messages of congratulations through my office.

“I’m sure we will receive many messages and I look forward to sending them on so that the couple will know that people in Staffordshire are wishing them well.”

People can send their congratulatory messages in person at County Buildings in Stafford or on the chairman’s pages on the county council website.
Messages need to be received by March 21.
