Lichfield City FC’s chairman has admitted that new manager Russell Dodds has got the club “buzzing” again – and has refused to rule out promotion.

The former Cradley Town boss takes his new charges to league leaders Bromsgrove on Saturday (February 5) hoping to build on his side’s impressive 4-1 demolition of Cadbury Reserves.
And Dodds – who described Lichfield and Bromsgrove as the only clubs in the league “who are going anywhere” when he explained his decision to drop two levels and take on the City job – has already made a big impression on his new chairman.
Darren Leaver explained:
“Russell has injected new lease of life into the club and the whole place is buzzing at the moment. We haven’t given up hope of the club being promoted this season, there is such belief amongst the players now that anything is possible. We have to just keep winning games and see what happens around us.”
Lichfield are running a supporters coach to Bromsgrove for the crunch clash. For more information call Richard on 01543 417575.
