Walkers are set to step out alongside the Sheriff of Lichfield to see the sights of the city. The Sheriff’s Darwin Walk will take place on February 13 and see Cllr Colin Greatorex lead the event, accompanied by members of the Darwin Walk Trust. The walkers will leave from the car park at Beacon Park (Bunkers Hill, off Lower Sandford Street) at 10am, before taking a break at Curborough Craft Centre after five miles, where refreshments can be purchased at Mabel’s Tea Room. Walkers will also be able to join or leave at this stage. The route will then continue, finishing back at Bunkers Hill at around 2.30pm. No charge will be made for participating in the walk, but donations will go to the Mayor and Sheriff’s charities. For more information call 01543 309854.
