Chasetown FC will be hoping their league form can continue to match their FA Trophy exploits when they visit FC United of Manchester.

The Scholars could be forgiven for having one eye on their glamour quarter-final tie with Mansfield on February 26, but their record-breaking run in the Trophy has left them playing catch-up in the league.

And with Charlie Blakemore’s men still in contention for a play-off spot, a win in their game tonight (February 16) could put them back among the front-runners.

Chasetown will have striker Steve Abbott available after he joined fellow Telford loanee Richard Davies in making a temporary switch to the Scholars Ground.

The 28-year-old has professional experience at Wrexham on his CV and will add depth to the striking options at Blakemore’s disposal.

The game against FC United will take place at Stalybridge Celtic, kick-off 7.45pm.
