Plans have been unveiled to convert a Chasetown pub into housing.

The scheme would see The Swan on High Street converted into three properties, with a further four terraced houses and two bedsits built at the rear.

An initial development had planned to demolish the pub, which has been closed for some time, but the developers have now said the frontage will be retained as part of the development as the building is “important to the street scene”.

Full details and drawings are available on Lichfield District Council’s planning website, where residents are also able to comment on the application.
