Athletes are gearing up for a 10k race near Lichfield.

Taking place on March 13, the Florette Fradley 10k will welcome around 750 runners plus another 150 in the 2k run for juniors.

The organisers admit they are delighted by what is expected to be a record turnout.

Paul Griffin from KP Events said:

“We are now nearing our 13th year and each year we see that people entering are coming from all over the UK. If we get the weather this year, it’s very possible that a course record could be set because of the quality of the leading runners we have in the field.”

There will be a limited number of entries on the day and these will be only be taken from runners who have registered their interest by calling Paul on 0797 1100973.
