People living in Lichfield and Burntwood are being reminded that the deadline is approaching to apply to vote by post or by proxy in the forthcoming elections.
With a referendum on voting reform together with local parish and district elections on the way, Lichfield District Council is expecting a number of residents to use various methods to have their say.
But those who want to use the post or proxy method to cast their vote have until April 14 to register their intention to do so.
Nina Dawes, electoral registration officer for Lichfield District, said:
“Now is the time to make sure you are registered to vote, and to apply for a postal or proxy vote, before the deadline of Thursday 14 April. It only takes a few minutes to register or to apply – simply visit www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/elections to print off a form, or call our elections team on 01543 308125 or email elections@lichfielddc.gov.uk.”
