Lichfield residents have been casting their eyes over a series of projects which could get a share of a £400,000 funding pot.

The Section 106 money has been made available by local developers and a recent consultation event saw more than 100 people visit the city’s Darwin Hall to give their views on somethe 38 schemes bidding for funding.

Richard King, Lichfield District Council’s Strategic Director of Democratic, Development and Legal Services, said:

“We were pleased so many people came to this event, and took the time to find out more about these projects and to give their views. We’re now collecting all the feedback, which we’ll consider as part of the assessment process. We will put forward our recommendations to councillors, and then the Cabinet will make the final decision around autumn time.”
