Students at a school near Lichfield have seen their bus service saved from the axe.
It had been feared that the after school number seven route which serves John Taylor High School in Barton-under-Needwood would be removed by bus operator Arriva.
However, it has now been confirmed that the 3.49pm service used by pupils travelling home to Burton will remain.
John Taylor High School vice-principal Paul Averis said:
“We are pleased Arriva will continue to provide a service to group of pupils who travel to Burton.”
