Four Burntwood women arrested over Lichfield pub assault

Four women have been arrested in connection with an assault in Lichfield.

A 20-year-old woman, from Burntwood, suffered facial injuries in the incident at the Gatehouse in Bird Street at around 11.45pm on March 26.

She was taken to Queen’s Hospital in Burton where she received numerous stitches before being discharged early the next morning.

Four women, all from Burntwood, aged 24, 23, 19 and 31, have been arrested in connection with the assault and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers investigating the assault are keen to speak to witnesses who were in the pub at the time, including a woman who approached police on the night but didn’t leave her details.
