Residents look on as the Air Ambulance lands inside the police cordon

Neighbours have revealed their shock after a man was found dead at a flat in Lichfield.

Part of a walkway off Purcell Avenue in the Nether Stowe area of the city was cordoned off yesterday afternoon (April 16) as a police forensics team entered the property.

The Midlands Air Ambulance was also called and landed near to the scene.

A neighbour told The Lichfield Blog that he had seen forensics officers in white overalls entering the property throughout the evening.

Neighbours also reported that officers had been called to the address earlier in the day.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed they had attended, but added that it would be “inappropriate” to comment any further.
