Lichfield karting event raises £2,000 for charity

A charity karting event in Lichfield has raised more than £2,000 for charity.

The Midland Karting site at Fradley Park saw hundreds of visitors take part in a racing and family fun day in aid of Help for Heroes.

Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant presented trophies and medals to the winners of the first endurance race, which saw Chris Barlow and his team come out on top, followed by the Kerry Foods and Bob Park team.

The second endurance event was won by Matt Ralphs and his team, followed by Lee Faulkner team and the Rapid Remap racers.

Organiser Garry Mitchell said:

“We want to thank everyone who came along on the day for making this such an enjoyable event. We’re planning another event in aid of Save the Children in September and hope that we will see everyone again later in the year.”
