Michael Fabricant sings The Times They Are a-Changing

The disappearance of sunny weather hasn’t put people off this weekend’s Son of Buskathon event, which is raising funds for Lichfield Fuse Festival 2011.

Saturday’s programme kicked off at 9am with a selection of live performances, then at noon, the anniversary of Speaker’s Corner was celebrated with speeches, followed by cake for the crowd. At 12.30pm MP Michael Fabricant stepped up to perform a rendition of Bob Dylan’s classic, The Times They Are a-Changing, and, as an encore, Lou Reed’s Perfect Day (click on the links below to hear his performances).

  1. Ha, no chance! :P

We didn’t want people getting distracted too much by your lovely jumper. We’re passionate about making sure the community can hold your voice, not your fashion sense, to account.

  2. What’s the saying “Don’t do the crime if you can’t dp the time” Leave it on

  3. I thought you were very good Michael, I will go as far as to say you would make a far better pop singer than a politician, you certainly have the entertainment qualities, that’s for sure.

  4. Mister F. may not be giving up the day job just yet, but top marks for sheer chutzpah. It was a pleasure to accompany him! Of course, he was just one of many acts performing at SON OF BUSKATHON. Check out BUSKATHON on Facebook for more pictures from Saturday and Sunday.
