Organisers from Lichfield Arts are inviting people of all ages to attend free dance and art workshops.

The workshops are part of the Fuse Outreach Project run by Lichfield Arts in partnership with Lichfield District Council and North Lichfield Initiative.

Beginning next Wednesday (25 May) at Chadsmead Primary School, the workshops will run from 6:30-8:30pm and include building a choreographed routine along with props and scenery for a performance at this year’s Fuse Festival in July. Further workshops take place at the same venue and time on June 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd with one more on July 6th.

The finished performance will form one part of a larger performance called Journeys and Quests which will include children from 12 local schools as well as other local community groups.

Fuse Director Tim Perks said;

“Following last years very successful workshops and performance there were many requests to do something similar again this year but we wanted to make the performance even more visual. People can come along and be part of the dance or, if dance is not their thing, they can help to make the props and scenery needed”.

Those interested are encouraged to simply turn up on the day to get involved. Note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. For more information visit the Fuse web site or call 01543 262223.
