There was a high risk that the fire would spread to a barn that was situated close by, so we used farm machinery to create a break between the fire and the barn which was successful and prevented the fire from spreading.”Firefighters returned to the scene this morning to continue damping down hot spots. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
Firefighters from Lichfield and Burntwood have been battling a blaze that started in 80 tonnes of manure.
