People taking part in the KP Fitness military-style training session
A military style outdoor training event has enjoyed a successful launch event in Lichfield. KP Fitness invited serving Army physical training instructor Ciaron Ford and personal trainer Laura Reeves to lead a session on Stowe Field on Sunday (June 12). Several local people braved the wet and windy conditions to put themselves through the tough programme devised to test mind and body to the limits. Aaron Westwood, 18 and from Shenstone, was one of the people who endured the hour long session, He said:
“It was very demanding, the exercises were hard and the exertion was high but we worked as a team on some things when you consider we started out as strangers that was quite an achievement.”
The success means of the first session means further ones will now be organised. Sunday morning sessions will take place from 10.30am to 11.30am, starting on June 19, while Wednesday evening sessions, running from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, will begin on June 22. Both will take place on Stowe Field and cost £5 a session, but new starters can attend their first one for free.
