Chasetown FC manager Charlie Blakemore has admitted he is delighted with his club’s pre-season schedule.
The Scholars have secured a number of high-profile fixtures against the likes of Stoke City, Tamworth and Mansfield Town.
There will also be a number of fixtures against lower league local opposition and Blakemore believes he has got the right blend as he bids to prepare his squad for a second season in the Evo Stik Premier Division.
He told the club’s official website:
“I am really pleased with preparations so far with virtually all of last season’s squad signed up plus a couple of exciting additions. I am still hoping to bring in a couple of more quality signings before we kick off the friendlies.
“I am delighted that we are hosting a team from FA Cup finalists and Premier League Stoke City. It should be a great test for us in front of a full house.”
Blakemore also admitted he was hoping to confirm a further friendly against a yet to be named opponent.
